What is FibreLoc?

FibreLoc PadlockFibreLoc is a revolutionary solution to the problem of counterfeit security documents, such as passports, cheques, tickets, product labels, etc. The patented FibreLoc system offers an encoding and verification system that ensures a unique ID – a ‘fingerprint’ for every document processed.

How does it work?

The patented FibreLoc concept combines established and proven paper manufacturing techniques with digital image capture and analysis technologies to provide an ultra-secure, item-level verification system.

Enrollment

Performed when the document is printed, enrollment is the process of capturing an image of fluorescent fibres in a selected area of the paper and generating a unique code ("FibreKey") based on analysis of the image. The FibreKey can then be securely stored with additional item identity information, such as barcode data or a serial number.

Verification

Performed in the field or when the document is presented, and is the process of verifying the authenticity of the item by repeating the imaging process and comparing the FibreKey generated with the stored data. If the item is genuine the FibreKeys will match.
